Abbey Carpet & Floor

Abbey Carpet & Floor started as a single floor covering store in Sacramento, California in 1958. The owners realized in the early 60’s that there was a fairly new concept, “franchising.” Abbey became the first franchisor in the state of California, preceding even that little hamburger maker, McDonalds. Today there are over 700 franchise stores nationwide, with over five million homes that enjoy Abbey flooring.
