Amalgamated Dairies Limited (ADL) was formed in 1953 following the amalgamation of three dairy co-operatives and three dairy companies across Prince Edward Island. ADL employs 355 Islanders and operates five processing facilities across PEI making butter, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, fluid milk products, cheddar cheese and specialty cheese products. ADL’s cheese production facility is one of the largest specialty cheese plants in Canada. The majority of ADL production is for private label business. Our reputation for quality products and customer service is regarded far beyond PEI. We have co-pack partnerships in place that span close to 40 years. ADL Owns and operates ADL Foodservice which is a standalone foodservice provider. ADL Foodservice provides PEI hospitality businesses, healthcare institutions and other businesses with over 4,400 unique products from from both local food producers and nationally recognized food brands. As a cooperative, ADL is 100 per cent owned by PEI’s 150 dairy producers. We take great pride in supporting Island farmers and communities.
