Aerospace Engineering is the primary field of engineering concerned with the development of aircraft and spacecraft. It has two major and overlapping branches: Aeronautical Engineering and Astronautical Engineering. Education in Aerospace Engineering at SJC Institute of Technology focuses on imparting knowledge to a level that our graduates are successful in their professional careers, including industry, research organizations, government service, and academia. Our program prepares students for the harmonious application of engineering principles, processes, and practices to Aerospace systems and their maintenance. We prepare our students to contribute effectively when they have to work as integrated team members through effective communication with other team members, supervisors, and clients. The programs inculcate a strong sense of civic, professional, and ethical, responsibility among students. Our programs strive to develop innovation capacity along with a passion for lifelong learning. The department has faculty members with specialization, research, and diversified experience in design, maintenance, and manufacturing.
