AJP Group

A family-owned business consisting of some 30 corporate entities (established in 1994). Originally its primary businesses encompassed the retail of food and liquor, coupled with a medium-sized retail property component. The Group has substantially grown its property portfolio and has branched into other complementary businesses including: Helix - a Property Management Company Advance – a marketing and signage company. DIY 4U – a repairs and maintenance company. Hava Java - coffee shop brand. GoZone – a water retail and distribution brand. MaxD – a security and guarding company. The businesses were originally based in the Eastern districts of the Ekurhuleni Metropolis in the province of Gauteng, South Africa, but are now starting to expand throughout Gauteng and the country. The food, liquor, pharmacy and clothing retailing operations were originally conducted as Pick ‘n Pay franchises. Since the termination of our association with Pick ‘n Pay in early 2024 we have teamed up with the Shoprite/Checkers group and our retail operations going forward will be via their OK franchise. The group’s retail fuel business outlets trade as a BP Forecourt / OK Express Store. The property operations are conducted as AJP Properties. The DIY operation is conducted as a DIY 4 U. Our coffee shop outlets trade under the ‘Hava Java’ Brand. Our VIP Security and guarding business trades as MaxD. Our property management business runs as Helix Property Management.
