Al Qalam

Al Qalam, is a community project to spread and teach Arabic calligraphy arts and Islamic decoration in the heart of the historic Cairo in a unique atmosphere, and encourages them to creativity, and encourages them to offer learning spaces, a design studio, a shop to buy calligraphy supplies and art gifts, and a meeting point for creators and artists. The location of the pen on the second floor of the nineteenth century, the date of construction in the eighteenth century, and directly overlooking the mosques of Sultan Hassan and Refai and behind the house of the Egyptian architecture or the house of Hassan Fathi. Through its various programs, Al Qalam seeks to promote linear movement through training and education, creating new generations of calligraphers and forming a supportive system for them, organizing exhibitions and educational seminars, providing tools and written products, marketing and promoting and digitizing art works.
