AVIAN (pronounced ay v yin – relating to a bird-like flying creature) is an employee-owned, service-driven company founded by retired U.S. Navy test pilots who knew that talent and passion were the key ingredients to success. We are resourceful, responsive, and reachable—delivering expertise in program, financial, and logistics management; research and development; digital engineering and traditional systems engineering; test and evaluation of crewed and uncrewed systems; workforce development and training; and communication strategy and design. Headquartered in Lexington Park, Maryland, our team spans from coast to coast, supporting the Department of Defense, including the Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Sea Systems Command, and the Office of Naval Research, as well as the Department of Transportation’s Volpe Center.
