Babanango Game Reserve is over 20 000 hectares of wilderness in the heart of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It is the largest conservation project of its kind in the last 30 years, with over 75% of the land leased from local communities. Steeped in historic significance, it boasts spectacular diversity with mistbelt grassland, thornveld and river frontage along the iconic White iMfolozi River. This rich area harbours abundant game species including cheetah, rhino, buffalo, giraffe, hyena, zebra, several antelope, and the elusive aardvark and aardwolf, with the remainder of the big five soon to be introduced.
