The first and only international American school in Busan, BFS was established in 1996 by the Haddon Family to cater to the community’s educational needs. This dual-nationality family aspired to create a school that would offer their child and others a truly international educational experience in the beautiful city of Busan, South Korea. With the invaluable support of other community members, they created Busan Foreign School with just four students in those early days. Today we have over 200 students representing over 20 nationalities, BFS offers rigorous international education for grades K to 12. The school is overseen by a community-elected board and accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). At BFS, our commitment extends beyond academics as we are a values-driven school dedicated to nurturing the holistic development of each student. Through our language programs, extracurricular activities, community service, our strong school values, and close-knit community, we aim to embrace our diverse community and strive for excellence in everything we do. At BFS, we aspire to empower our students to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives. Show more Show less
