Business Transformation Agency

The mission of the Business Transformation Agency (BTA) was to guide the transformation of business operations throughout the Department of Defense and to deliver Enterprise-level capabilities that align to warfighter needs. The agency was established in late 2005 as part of the DoD's response to public law 108-375. The BTA is the DoD custodian for the tools of Transformation described in 10USC2222, and regularly provides service to the governance structure described in 10USC186.
