At Call the Car, we are a care partner. We believe medical transportation is a part of healthcare and should be accessible for all, regardless of whether a member is eligible for a healthcare plan or not. Founded in 2010 by our CEO Michelle Tyson, MD, Michelle identified a gap in California's healthcare delivery preventing vulnerable patients from attending critical medical appointments and gaining access to essential care and community services. Call the Car has revolutionized non-emergency medical transportation to create an entirely new delivery network service, with unparalleled quality control. We combine the characteristics of a software company, a broker model, and an owner-operated fleet business, to provide our clients with access and transportation options. As a business, we believe that to provide a quality and compassionate service, we must use value-driven solutions, by coordinating with the communities we represent. Our Case Monitoring Team coordinates care with members’ case managers, their doctors, or nurses, and updates them as to the current status of their patient. Our Facility Outreach team's key focus is to regularly collect feedback from the facilities we coordinate care with to address population health needs. Call the Car partners with local transportation subcontractors to ensure reliable transportation. Partnering with giant rideshare companies like Lyft and Uber enables our members to schedule/request their rides. Our health plan provider partners are available to view in full via our website: https://callthecar.com/contact/. Follow us on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/CalltheCarNEMT/
