''Leaders aspire to provide all pupils with a broad education within an inclusive environment. Pupils enjoy being part of a diverse school community, where they all feel valued.'' OFSTED 2023 We are an extremely vibrant, multicultural school in Harrow, NW London. In 2023, the excellent work of our staff, our students, their families and the wider community was recognised by OFSTED as being Good. We have been lucky enough to be able to recruit a number of new, highly motivated colleagues to supplement the extremely stable, well-established and successful staffroom we already had. Canons has gained a strong reputation as a school that does things well and does things right. Together with the University of Hertfordshire, we have developed a new ‘Harrow First’ programme. This model involves the recruitment of mature graduates in their final year of degrees and graduates looking to change careers, through direct advertising and is designed to work with post-graduate links such as Hertfordshire University’s graduate alumni association. We have a strong Careers and Business Links Department and our CEIAG Programme is multi-dimensional, recognising the individual strengths and aspirations of every student. Engaging with the world of work is a key part of our strategy and students are able to practise the all-important employability skills which employers often say are lacking. Canons high School is committed to continuing to establish connections with the local business community to aid us in this transition. If you are interested in working at Canons High School or if you are prepared to volunteer some professional guidance to our students about the world of work and your experiences or, finally, if you are a past student who wishes to re-establish your connection with the school then please contact our Careers and Business Links Co-Ordinator at https://www.linkedin.com/in/nadia-osullivan-b3263b5a/ or by email at no'[email protected].
