CARE Tanzania

134 employees

CARE began working in Tanzania in April 1994 initially focused on humanitarian support due to Rwanda genocides. Since then, we have supported the Government to implement sustainable Development agenda, both in mainland and Zanzibar. Through our collaboration we have been working with the Government to transform communities in the areas of financial inclusion and independence, health and nutrition, innovative education, sustainable agriculture, climate change adaptation and resilience. CARE Tanzania prioritizes working with rural women in food insecure households whose livelihood depends on natural resources, with the view to build vibrant, equitable and resilient communities
