What is BASES? BASES stands for the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences. BASES is the professional body for sport and exercise sciences in the UK. BASES is a Company Limited by Guarantee Registered in Cardiff No. 5385834. Sport and Exercise Science is the application of scientific principles to the promotion, maintenance and enhancement of sport and exercise related behaviours. In May 2024, BASES was granted the Charter of Incorporation by His Majesty King Charles III. On 1 April 2025, BASES will be incorporated as The Chartered Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (CASES). Our Mission: Promoting excellence in sport and exercise sciences.
