CELPIP and CAEL are Canada's leading English language proficiency tests for immigration purposes, academic acceptance, and professional certification, and are owned by Prometric Canada. Our Mission: Prometric’s mission is to make its English language proficiency tests the tests of choice for those wishing to immigrate to Canada, to become Canadian citizens, or to study in Canada at all levels. This is done by emphasizing the quality of our tests and the test research program that is conducted through collaboration with internationally recognized scholars at Canada’s leading universities. Our Assessments: The CELPIP Test is offered in two versions including one version for applicants for permanent residence in Canada (The CELPIP-General Test) and one version for applicants for Canadian citizenship (The CELPIP-General LS Test). The CELPIP Tests for Canadian permanent residence and citizenship have been officially designated by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada as evidence of English language proficiency. The CAEL Assessment is a standardized academic test that is accepted for entrance to academic institutions across Canada and the United States as well as to several international institutions. The test is also accepted at a number of professional associations. CELPIP - Horizon is the latest exam added to Prometric's English Proficiency suite, and is a 55 minute mid-stakes exam designed to be taken remotely, giving candidates the convenience to sit for the exam anywhere, at any time, while being monitored by Prometric's AI proctoring platform. Composed of listening, reading, writing, and speaking components, CELPIP - Horizon provides an accurate snapshot of English proficiency in practical, real-world scenarios.
