Operador del Sistema (ODS)

The main function of the ODS is to guarantee the continuity and security of the electricity supply and the correct coordination of the generation and transmission system at minimum cost for all the operations of the electricity market. Additionally, it exercises the supervision and control of the operations of the National Interconnected System (SIN) and the rest of its functions in coordination with the companies and operators of the electrical system, under the principles of transparency, objectivity, independence and economic efficiency. The System Operator (ODS) manages an opportunity electric market.
