The Advanced Center for Electrical and Electronic Engineering, AC3E, of the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María is a scientific research center whose mission is to create knowledge, train advanced human capital and to develop world-class technological innovations. The AC3E is part of the tradition of excellence and leadership in engineering, science and technology that has characterized UTFSM since its founding in 1931. It conducts research and technological developments for large and small companies to increase their competitiveness and improve the efficiency, economy and quality of their processes. The Center bring together a multidisciplinary group of more than 100 people, among which are: researchers, academics, engineers and undergraduate and graduate students. The research activities are organized in 6 lines of research: Control and Automation, Renewable Energies and Power Conversion, Robotics, Biomedical Systems, Electrical Systems and Artificial Intelligence and Data Analysis. - AC3E has international award-winning research results, a cutting-edge knowledge that has allowed it to carry out technology transfer projects for national and international companies, and participate in the development of public policies. Scientific excellence in the area of electrical and electronic engineering, as well as dynamism and adaptability make AC3E a reference in R&D. AC3E is a space where academy, industry, and society converge, generating collaborative relationships to address future challenges through the development of diverse projects.
