China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. (CHEC), established in 1980s, became a subsidiary of China Communications Construction Company Ltd. (CCCC) in 2005. CHEC explores the overseas market on behalf of CCCC. With 15,000+ employees, CHEC is in more than 90 overseas branches, subsidiaries, and representative offices around the world. CHEC Americas started the first project in Latin America in Colombia in 1985, and since then, the company has started to contribute to Americas’ infrastructure development cause for about 40 years. As of today, nearly 40+ projects have been contracted among which 20+ finalized. Today, CHEC Americas has presence in 17 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean with the Panama branch serving as the regional office since 2015.
