Founded in 1967 in Taipei, Cheng Hsin General Hospital was at first a dedicated rehabilitation center for polio-stricken kids in Taiwan when the epidemic had spread nationwide, thanks to May-ling Soong Chiang, the wife of then President Chiang Kai-shek. Over the years, it became a general hospital and, in 1994, with a cardiac team led by Dr. Wei joining the hospital, it established the department of cardiovascular surgery, later growing into the heart center with comprehensive cardiac care as people know today. We are frequented by international patients primarily for heart procedures, standard and complex; minimally invasive surgery in neuroscience and gynecology; and customer-oriented, comprehensive checkups.
