Founded in 1796, Hopkinsville, Kentucky, is centrally located just 12 miles north of the Kentucky/Tennessee border. The city is easily accessible by highway from Interstate 24 and is encompassed by a well-planned state highway network, including Edward T. Breathitt Pennyrile Parkway, recently designated as Interstate 169.
