Conservation Halton

290 employees

Conservation Halton is a community-based environmental agency dedicated to protecting people, property and natural resources from flooding, erosion, and other natural hazards. As one of Ontario’s 36 Conservation Authorities, we steward 1,000-square-kilometres of conservation lands spanning Milton, Burlington, Oakville, Halton Hills, Hamilton, Puslinch and Mississauga. From the Lake Ontario shoreline to the Niagara Escarpment, we safeguard forests, wetlands and waterways through science-based conservation, land management and climate resilience initiatives. Through strategic partnerships and a multidisciplinary team of experts, we monitor watershed health, restore ecosystems and support sustainable communities. Our eight conservation areas welcome more than a million visitors each year, offering opportunities to connect with nature through recreation and education. Guided by a Board of municipal elected officials and community appointees, Conservation Halton works to create a more sustainable, resilient future.
