COPROTAB (Cooperativa de Productores Tabacaleros de Salta Ltda.)

The Cooperativa de Productores Tabacaleros de Salta Ltda. was set up in 1972. Our main goal was and is to actively participate in the commercialization of its production, in defence of the farmer’s interest. It purchase more than 50% of the Virginia tobacco sold in Salta and 23% of the total tobacco of the country. It is located in a 36-ha field, has 92,000 square meters (m2) of covered surface. Our company has around 1,800 associates and 740 employees. Participates in the fertilizers market, with the brand FERTINORTE. Processing 25,000 Tons. to fertilize a big portion of the tobacco produced in Salta and Jujuy.
