Colombo South Teaching Hospital - Kalubowila

The Kalubowila (Colombo South) Teaching Hospital in Sri Lanka is the second largest hospital in the country. It is a teaching-oriented hospital (it was upgraded to teaching status in 1995) that maintains a bed strength of 1110. It covers most of the tertiary specialties and offers a variety of options for clinical electives, including forensic medicine. The hospital is also part of the Sri Lanka Hospital Needs initiative, which aims to ensure that the hospital is properly equipped to treat the patients and provide the best training for students possible.
