The Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) no longer exists due to an organizational restructuring. On September 30, 2022, in accordance with the Department of Buildings Establishment Act of 2020, DCRA transitioned into two new agencies, the Department of Buildings (dob.dc.gov) and the Department of Licensing and Consumer Protection (dlcp.dc.gov).
