The Directorate of Public Relations of the Ministry of Defence is the authorised channel of communication, entrusted with the task of disseminating information about the activities of all the establishments of Ministry including Armed Forces. It is headed by the Addl Director General (Media & Communication) who is also the Principal Spokesperson, Ministry of Defence, Government of India.
