DDRC Healthcare is a registered UK charity promoting increased use and understanding of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) therapy, for the treatment of various medical conditions. We specialise in diving and hyperbaric medicine, research, education and training. At our Hyperbaric Medical Centre in Plymouth we treat emergencies including decompression illness (DCI or the bends), carbon monoxide poisoning, and soft tissue infections such as necrotising fasciitis and gas gangrene. From Plymouth and our hyperbaric unit in South Wales we also treat non-emergency patients with non-healing and problem wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers, or tissue damaged from the delayed side effects of radiation treatment for cancer. Our research team carry out studies into diving physiology and hyperbaric oxygen (HBO), working with highly regarded national and international partners. DDRC Healthcare has two trading subsidiaries; Plymouth Wound Care providing wound care services and DDRC Professional Services Ltd providing specialised medical & First Aid training, occupational medicals (diving, maritime, offshore sector) and consultancy services.
