The Eswatini Television Authority (STVA) is a broadcaster formed by an act of parliament in 1983. It was known as the Eswatini Television Broadcasting Corporation (STBC) prior to its establishment by Act of Parliament. STBC was officially opened by His Majesty King Sobhuza II in February 1978. This marked the arrival of television in Swaziland.
