Food Standards Australia New Zealand

We are a bi-national government agency. Our main responsibility is to develop and administer the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code, which contains legal requirements for foods, such as additives, food safety, labelling and GM foods. Interpretation and enforcement of the Code are the responsibility of State/Territory departments and food agencies within Australia and New Zealand.
