Established in 1951, Galesburg-Augusta Community Schools was formed when two neighboring communities united to build a high school, sharing a vision of a brighter future for their children. Since then, our district has grown to serve over 1,200 students across three schools—Primary, Middle, and High School—while continuing to welcome 20-30 new students each year. At Galesburg-Augusta, we pride ourselves on our strong sense of community and our commitment to fostering a nurturing environment where students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. In partnership with families and local residents, our dedicated staff works to equip every student with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to become productive, ethical citizens who are ready to meet the challenges of tomorrow. Our Board of Education ensures that every decision, whether in policy or practice, is guided by one principle: what’s best for the kids. From enhancing classroom experiences to investing in new facilities, we are devoted to creating opportunities for growth and success for every student in our Ram-Fam. Together, we are building a future where every child is empowered to succeed.
