Delivered 19% YR’24 return, outperforming a 60%/40% SPY/AGG portfolio by 330 bps Established fall 2023, now one of the largest SMIF's in the United States, with a little north of $5MM in AUM, the Student Managed Investment Fund is a selective business program for high-performing Grand Canyon University students. The GCU SMIF stands out from the rest with there being zero oversight from faculty members or professors. Student analysts and sector heads research prospective companies and fixed income instruments for investment, by building financial models, drafting investment proposals, and pitching investment ideas during gatherings for fund approval. Many of our current and former students have gone on to work at prestigious companies like J.P. Morgan, William Blair, Charles Schwab, Raymond James, and more thanks to the experience they gained from this program.
