Global Health Informatics Institute

The mission of the institute is to train the next generation of informaticians to be able to shape the use of health information technology investments in an evidence-based way. We aim to achieve this through focused training and service learning opportunities, and through the development of demonstration sites where reference implementations of new approaches can be closely studied and refined. Despite a strong focus on health informatics, GHII is focused on solving problems of global health significance and works at the intersection of science, engineering, and global health. GHII operates out of a built-for-purpose training center fully furnished with product development resources and capabilities.
