The Gouthami Institute of Technology & Management for Women (GITAMW) was founded in Proddatur in 2009 with a noble vision to foster technical education in the underprivileged region of the Kadapa district. The Gouthami Institute of Technology & Management for Women (GITAMW) operates under the guidance of the Mother Teresa Christian Minority Educational Society in Jammalamadugu. Its primary goal is to cultivate highly innovative and motivated future leaders in the realm of engineering education. Situated on a beautiful campus spanning 5.10 acres, the institute is blessed with a serene and picturesque environment, surrounded by lush green hills, offering a tranquil and conducive atmosphere for learning. Located on the National Highway between Proddatur and Jammalamadugu, the institute enjoys a convenient position. It is approximately 6 kilometers away from Proddatur town and 60 kilometers by road from Kadapa. The closest railway station is Yerraguntla. GITAMW boasts impressive and spacious buildings that are thoughtfully designed to align with the contemporary standards of engineering institutions. To enhance the educational experience and ensure a secure environment, the campus is equipped with CCTV cameras for improved surveillance. GITAMW has obtained affiliation from JNTU, Anantapur, as confirmed through a notification dated October 8, 2009. This affiliation was granted after receiving approval from AICTE-New Delhi through the Letter of Approval (F.No.AICTE/E&T/AP-NEW/2009-10 dated June 27, 2009), as well as approval from the state government as per G.O.No 86 issued by the Andhra Pradesh State Government.
