Gunret Foods (Pty) Ltd is an independently owned and operated KFC franchise with 44 KFC restaurants in South Africa, the majority located in Gauteng, with others in Rustenburg and Cape Town. Burt Gunning founded the group in 1985 with one store in Rustenburg. Today nearly 40 years later, it is owned by the Gunning family with son Alex Gunning, Managing Director, at the helm and is a multi-franchise group and employing over 1300 staff around the country. Paul Roos, Director, ensures operational excellence in the business and always exceeding customers expectations. The Gunret Group offers full-service Drive Thru in the majority of restaurants and convenient ordering online, kiosk in-store ordering and delivery. The restaurants are situated throughout the country in Gauteng such as Midrand, Sandton, Soshanguve, Tembisa, Centurion, Kyalami, and in the North-West in Rustenburg, Modderspruit and Hartbeespoort, and Western Cape such as Cape Town, Houtbay and Paarl. The Group recently opened Waverley Plaza, Rivonia Boulevard and Hebron Mall, and Phokeng Mall with more planned in the development pipeline.A constant commitment to customer service and operational excellence has resulted in the Gunret Group winning many awards over the years.
