Helsingborgs stad

The City of Helsingborg covers an area of 346 km2 and our population right now is 151,306, of which 95,339 people live in the urban area. We are now Sweden's eighth largest municipality and eighth largest city (in the urban area). In 1900 the population of Helsingborg was only 24,670. There are 17 parishes and 13 small villages with more than 200 inhabitants. There is a net influx of about 1,000 people every year. The average age in the town is just over 40.
