Our school district has a rich history of inspiring learners since it was first organized in 1863. The district consists of 120 square miles and is located in five townships that extend into the two counties of Saginaw and Midland. There are two elementary buildings, Hemlock Elementary which hosts childcare starting with infants, preschool, early childhood special education, young fives, and kindergarten and K.C. Ling Elementary which host first through fourth grade. There are two secondary school buildings, Hemlock Middle School which hosts fifth through eighth grade, and Hemlock High School which hosts ninth through twelfth grade. Our district also has an alternative education program and an early middle college program. The mission and vision of our district is to innovate, collaborate, and educate a community of learners! We believe that providing quality education in a safe and caring environment it is critical in preparing all children for a successful future. At Hemlock Public School District we pride ourselves on providing the best education and opportunities possible. We believe that education should engage the whole child and we do that through our curriculum and by offering a full array of athletics, music, drama, robotics, service learning, and other extracurricular programming. At Hemlock Public School District our underlying philosophy is "Kids First' and we strive to keep that at the forefront of everything we do. We welcome and strive to maintain open and timely communication with our families. Parents and guardians are encouraged to get involved. We have various volunteer opportunities and parent groups that help build positive relationships with school administrators, teachers, coaches, advisors, and support staff.
