Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB) belongs to the Catalan Health Institute (ICS) and is one of the 5 major university hospitals in Catalonia, recording 30,700 annual discharges, of which 34.9% are high complexity. Founded in 1972, Bellvitge University Hospital nowadays is a 700-bed tertiary-care teaching facility that had been acclaimed with the TOP 20 ranking of the best hospitals in the state in the last four consecutive years.
