Founded in 1976, House of Ruth has been a leading provider of housing and supportive services for women, children, and families experiencing trauma associated with domestic violence, houselessness, mental health, substance use disorder, and poverty in Washington, D.C. We offer trauma-informed, comprehensive support for women, children, and families. Our continuum of services includes: - Housing Services through 12 service-enriched housing programs; - Child and Family Development Center at Kidspace; and - Counseling Services available at no-cost to anyone residing in the D.C., Maryland and Virginia, regardless of gender, who has experienced domestic violence.
