Veðurstofa Íslands - Icelandic Met Office

The Icelandic Meteorological Office is a multi-hazard agency that offers air, land, and sea weather services for Iceland in addition to providing warnings of possible avalanches, coastal flooding, flooding, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, sea ice and other natural disasters caused by conditions related to the duties of this office. The Icelandic Met Office conducts considerable data acquisition and processing in addition to research. Work is performed in close cooperation with both domestic and foreign organizations.
