AT KALMBACH MEDIA CO., our mission was to be a leader in entertaining, informing, and inspiring our customers by creating and delivering high-quality media and related services in the special-interest and enthusiast markets we served. We put customers at the core of our business since 1934. Our vision was to give our customers outstanding opportunities to connect with their special interest communities through a variety of media channels including books, events, magazines, videos, television partnerships, and web sites. The editors are active enthusiasts and share the same passion and curiosity for their leisure time pursuits as their audiences. This mutual passion forged long-term relationships between customers and our products. Our culture focused on building relationships with customers. At Kalmbach, "customers" encompassed everyone you dealt with on a daily basis which included co-workers and fellow employees. Internal customer focus was part of our culture since the company was founded and the philosophy continued as a key part of our core values until the very end. In 2024, after 90 years in business, Kalmbach Media has sold these amazing brands to new owners and is officially closing.
