Founded in 2007 by partners Ryan Dunn and Wyeth Hansen, Labour employed a craftsman approach, with both partners closely involved in each project covering all aspects. Limiting the number of jobs at a given time allowed for this intimate of an approach. Our clients invested a great deal into their pursuits, whether as globally scaled businesses or as individuals on a mission. Labour was a special-projects office, offering our sensibility and leadership to clients expanding into new territories, or those in search of a fresh approach to old problems. We created visual identities and branding, and provided support with art direction, design, animation, audio, and creative strategy. Labour made its mark early on, earning an Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Art Direction and Design for its work on the VH1 miniseries NY77: The Coolest Year in Hell. Other recognitions came from The Art Director’s club, naming Labour a Young Gun for excellent work under the age of 30, and a similar accolade from Print magazine as a New Visual Artist. Labour’s work has been included in dozens of publications, books, and exhibitions.
