Since 1966, Longleat has been home to a menagerie of exciting animals; in both the Safari Drive-Through and Walking Safari. Experience the majesty of Longleat’s animals moving freely across hundreds of acres of land; including zebra, giraffe, tigers, rhino, flamingo, and of course Longleat’s famous lions. A visit wouldn’t be complete without a stroll around the House. Built by Sir John Thynne, Longleat House was substantially completed by 1580 and is the current home to the 8th Marquess of Bath and two generations of the Thynn family. As well as being packed with priceless antiques; the abundance of flair that the House exudes will capture imaginations of those young, and young at heart, with its wonderful treasures and heirlooms including early manuscripts, magnificent paintings, exquisite Flemish tapestries and opulent interiors.
