By equipping young people in Southern Africa with the tools to overcome challenges and build sustainable livelihoods, MCI enables them to unlock their potential and drive transformative change in their communities. Since 1995, MCI has empowered over 150,000 young musicians and reached more than a million people through its Music Crossroads Academies in Malawi, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe. These academies provide accessible, affordable training in music performance, production, and entrepreneurship, paving the way for brighter futures. Our Impact Changing Lives: Alumni have secured jobs, supported families, and returned as educators, creating ripple effects of change. Scholarships Transform Futures: Nearly 150 students have benefited from the Focusrite Scholarship Programme, breaking barriers to education and achieving 40% female participation. Global Recognition: Winner of the 2023 UNESCO-Bangladesh Prize for the Creative Economy for empowering youth entrepreneurship. Creative Training Campus: Recognized as a "success story" by the European Commission, training 160 participants and reaching over 20,000 people with life-changing skills.
