Naandi Water

Naandi Water is a new generation community social enterprise with a mission to save lives by providing safe drinking water to the underserved in a sustainable way. Born as a pilot in the parent company Naandi Foundation 20 years ago, today we are an independent, autonomous social motto organisation for the last 13 years. In villages and slums where drinking water is badly contaminated beyond tolerable levels of quality, we provide decentralised long lasting solution in partnership with a CSR and the Gram Panchayat. We execute the impact through two main programs 1. Village Water Centre Initiative 2. The School Water Program We aim that every Naandi Water Centre is built to last - 1. For effcient O&M we charge a very minimal user fee of Rs 4-7/- for 20 litres for 7 -10 years and later hand over the water centre to the Panchayat itself to maintain a self sustaining asset. So far we have handed over 330+ centres. 2. We strive to be conscious and mindful of our water intake and reject water usage. We are pioneers of our model and have been recognised and mentored by at least 10 + institutions of national and global repute, the latest being some of our community practices that are featured in the national compendium of Jal Jeevan Mission. We hold the values of being Caring, Transparent, Safe, Customer Centric, Innovative and Sustainable close to our thoughts, actions and habits at work. We have so far impacted 696+ villages in 07 states. We aim to impact 300+ villages in the next 03 years and make a difference in 1000 villages by impacting their water quality, safety, health and quality of life.
