Smichov Secondary Technical School and Gymnasium

The Smichov Secondary Technical School and Gymnasium offers three classes of Information Technology every year, along with one Cybersecurity class and a new class in the Gymnasium program. In the school year 2022-2023, the Smichov Secondary Technical School and Gymnasium educates 650 students, with a full school capacity of 99.5%. For this school year, the school received 632 applications for enrollment, resulting in a four-fold surplus of applicants for all offered programs. This was the highest number of applications among all secondary schools in the Czech Republic that provide four-year matura study programs, including the most prestigious gymnasiums. The Smichov Secondary Technical School and Gymnasium is a popular choice for students because of its many extracurricular activities, student and alumni involvement, student and graduate projects, and start-ups. It also offers courses in cutting-edge IT areas such as cybersecurity, the internet of things, virtual and augmented reality, game development, and robotics.
