New Park Court Chambers is a large and well-established set comprising of 70+ barristers in Leeds and Newcastle, including over a dozen KCs. Some of our barristers also sit in a part-time capacity as Recorders or Tribunal Chairmen. Numerous cases are conducted in the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. We have a comprehensive set of responsive Practice Managers and staff who provide support. Inquests & Inquiries We are a leading set nationally for Public Inquiry work, having appeared in the most high-profile and significant Inquiries over recent years including the Manchester Arena, Grenfell Tower, Omagh bombing, Afghanistan, the Post Office and Covid Inquiries. Regulatory We have a long-standing history of undertaking regulatory work and are regularly instructed in many fields of regulatory work such as health and safety, environmental law and licensing. Professional Discipline We are recognised nationally for our expertise in professional discipline cases. The team consists of King’s Counsel and Junior Counsel and is consistently ranked as a Tier 1 set by Chambers and Partners and the Legal 500. Crime We are a Tier 1 set for Crime and have one of the most established and widely experienced criminal teams, routinely receiving instructions in major criminal cases nationwide. The team focus on complex casework and can offer advice at the investigatory stage through to Crown Court or Appeal Court proceedings. Family Our Family team has a strong reputation for sound, tactical and practical advice, endeavouring to obtain the best possible result for our clients. The team is highly skilled in representing clients and challenging critical evidence at contested final hearings. Civil Members are instructed by both claimants and defendants and have represented clients in county courts, 1996 Act Arbitrations, in all divisions of the High Court (Chancery, QBD, Family, including the specialist lists in the TCC and Commercial Court) and at appellate level.
