NYU Motorsports off-road and formula electric racing team is one of the flagship student-run organizations for New York University, competing in the pinnacle of university motorsports, the global Baja and Formula SAE championships. The world of racing is like nothing else in spectator sports. It’s a demanding technical and human challenge for everyone involved. From the high performance of our brightest engineers, the inspiration of designers looking for the ultimate chassis, the herculean efforts of our machinists, and the elite execution strategies of our business analysts, motorsports racing is a team sport - for our members, sponsors, and investors. Our team races for clients worldwide including corporations, institutions, manufacturers, and individuals. The moment we began turning the wheel in preparation for the Formula SAE competition, starting in the 2025 season, it was always clear that if the ultimate goal of championship victories were to be reached it could only be done if the team invested in its most important assets - people and experience. Since its inception in 2015, NYU Motorsports has been a champion for innovation and sustainability in the sport - our members always looking to push what can be accomplished. In addition, that also means being committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive culture in the motorsport industry. Headquartered in New York, our cars are built directly in the heart of our university.
