OK Motorsports

The OK Motorsports team is a student led and operated team whose primary focus is to design, fund, manufacture, and compete with a prototype race car each year. Formula SAE (or FSAE) is a student design competition organized by SAE International. The concept of the competition revolves around a fictional manufacturing company approaching a team seeking to build a formula-style open wheel racecar. Much of the competition itself is based around the design and presentation of the car, with the operation and performance of the car being of equal importance. The team operates on a yearly timetable, with goals being set at the discretion of the team. The North American FSAE competition is typically held somewhere in the United States during the summer months. Teams typically take core members to the competition to compete against other establishments. Success within the competition is highly valued by universities and colleges worldwide, with successful teams acquiring multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars in sponsorship for subsequent efforts.
