The Oswegoland Park District is committed to “Creating Opportunities for a Healthy Community.” Established in 1950, the District serves approximately 65,000 residents living within this District’s 38-square mile service area. This area includes the Village of Oswego, parts of Montgomery, Aurora, and Plainfield, and all of Boulder Hill. The Oswegoland Park District also includes the surrounding countryside of Oswego Township and a tiny portion of Will County. To date, we serve approximately 20,000 households. The District offers recreational programming for all ages and varied interests, manages 1,301 acres of park and natural areas, and maintains a multitude of amenities. District facilities include three recreation centers, two outdoor swimming pools, one splash pad, an 18-hole golf course, and historical museum. The District’s 66 parks, greenways and natural areas offer a variety of amenities including 38 playgrounds, 28 half-court basketball courts, 10 ball fields, 11 pickleball courts, three roller hockey rinks, two skate parks, an 18- hole disc golf course, and over 20 miles of walking/biking/jogging trails.
