Situated just north of the city of Durban, Our Lady of Fatima Parish is part of the Durban Central & North Deanery of the Archdiocese of Durban. The parish was established in 1959 by the Oblates of Mary Immaculate who served here until 1980. Since then it has been served by priests of the Archdiocese. The church was built in 1963 and plans are in place for Office extensions as well as the construction of a Pastoral Centre to serve the ever increasing activities of the parish. The present parish population is made up of approximately 900 families, drawn from in and around the Durban North area. The parish priest is Father Desmond Nair, a priest of the Archdiocese who has served the parish since January 1990. He is assisted by Deacon Peter Venter.
