Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts & Science (Autonomous)

The Chowgule Education Society was founded in Margao, Smt. Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science in June 1962. It is the oldest institution in Goa providing Premium Education in Arts, Science & Vocational streams up to the degree, Postgraduate levels, and Skill oriented courses. The performance of the college has been recognized at the National level by the University Grant Commission and at the International level, by the Ford Foundation, the USA through the award of special grants. The College is accredited by NAAC with a Grade 'A+' (CGPA of 3.27 on a 4-point scale on the 4th cycle), it was adjudged Best Affiliated College by Goa University at its Silver Jubilee celebrations in 2009 and was given the Best Educational Institute award by Business Goa in 2014. Having been conferred autonomous status by University Grants Commission in June 2014, this is the first Autonomous College in the State of Goa.
