Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Punjab

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab was formed under the National Disaster Management (NDM) Act of 2010. PDMA Punjab is the premier institution for the response to natural and manmade disasters in the province. The mandate of PDMA is “securing lives and livelihood”. As such, PDMA is responsible for coordinating various operational aspects including first response, rescue, relief, and act as a coordination body for government departments and responding agencies including NGOs.
